Online Application
Who are eligible to apply online for the MBF MasterCard/Visa Card?
 -Malaysian aged 21 years and above
 - Minimum annual income of RM18,000 for the Classic Card, RM42,000 for Gold Card and RM60,000 for Platinum Card
 -Must own personal email account
 
Do I have to pay to apply online?
 -No, MBF Cards Online Application service is FREE.
   
   
Do I need to submit supporting documents together with my online application?
 - No. But you are required to submit income related documents upon collection of your card if your application for MBF MasterCard/Visa Card is approved.
   
   
If I am an existing MBF MasterCard CardMember, can I apply for a MBF Visa Card online and vice-versa?
 - No you can't. You have to apply via a Visa Request Form which can be obtained from our Customer Service personnel or you can print it from our website.
   
   
If I apply for a MBF MasterCard and Visa Card online, will I get two different Line of Credit?
 - No, your Line of Credit is a combined spending limit for both MBF MasterCard and Visa Card.
   
   
Can I apply for a Supplementary Card online?
 -No.
   
  
Is it safe to apply for the MBF MasterCard/Visa Card online?
 -Yes! MBF MasterCard/Visa Card has secured its website with Server Digital Certificate issued by Thawte Server Certification, a VeriSign company. VeriSign is a global provider of digital certificate products. Confidential information can be sent to us without fear of interception as all data in transmission over the Internet is being protected by our implementation of the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) cryptography.
   
   
Will my MBF MasterCard/Visa Card's Statement of Account be sent through postal mail?
 -Yes.
   
   
Card Processing
How will I know my online application submission has been received?
 -A Confirmation message will be displayed immediately.
   
  
How long does it take for MBF Cards to process my application?
 -Within 24 hours (Monday - Thursday; if submitted on Friday, Saturday or public holidays, your application will be promptly processed by the next workday) - 24 hours approval upon assurance that MBF Cards is able to verify your employment.
   
   
How will I know my online application status?
 -You will be informed of the status by email within 24 hours.
   
   
Card Collection
How do I get my new MBF MasterCard/Visa Card?
 -For security reasons, all cards have to be collected PERSONALLY from MBF Cards Branches nationwide.
   
  
Can I send in a proxy or a representative to collect my new MBF MasterCard/Visa Card?
 -No.
   
   
How soon can I collect my new MBF MasterCard/Visa Card?
 -5 working days within Klang Valley and 7 working days outside Klang Valley.
   
   
Do I have to bring along any documents when collecting my new MBF MasterCard/Visa Card?
 -Yes, you are required to bring along the following documents:
  
    1. If you are currently a Principal credit/charge Cardholder of another
    Financial Institution with at least 6 months Tenureship:
    · A photocopy of Identity Card (both sides)
    · A photocopy of your current credit/charge card (front only)

2. If you are not holding any credit/charge card:
    · A photocopy of Identity Card (both sides)
    · Latest salary slip/Borang B/BE & Income Tax Receipt / EA Form or
      If self-employed:
        - A photocopy of Business Registration Certificate/Form 9/24/49

  - The approved card can only be released to you upon receiving your income related documents as mentioned above.
   
Can I use my new card immediately?
-Yes.
  
   
Is my MBF MasterCard/Visa Card a credit or a charge card?
 -The card is a Charge Card with a spending limit for which any outstanding balance must be settled in full upon receipt of the monthly statement of account.You may apply for a LOC for use in conjunction with your new Card by completing the legal letter with submission of documentary proof of your income. With a LOC, you only need to pay a minimum amount of your total outstanding by the due date.
   
   
How soon can my Line of Credit (LOC) be approved upon submission of I.C and income supporting documents?
 -The Line of Credit (LOC) for your Card will be processed within fourteen(14) working days upon receipt of your documents.
